How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Joy is a real nightshirt with long sleeves, a chest pocket, a white edge trim and four black buttons. The edge trim is the narrow white stripe that is just visible along the edge, and the buttons are what make it possible to open the shirt during the night if you get warm.

95 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 95 % bamboo viscose and 5 % elastane. That is among the highest bamboo contents in our range, and it is why the shirt feels smooth and cool against the skin rather than just soft. A high bamboo content needs a gentle wash

The more bamboo viscose, the less the fabric tolerates heat and hard wear. Close the buttons before washing, run it at 30 to 40 degrees on a gentle programme together with your coloureds, never use fabric softener, and let the shirt air dry. See our washing and care guide.
